The Huckabee School of Education at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position in Kinesiology to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will display evidence of excellent teaching in the context of a liberal-arts education; experience in exercise physiology a collegial commitment to professional, university, departmental, and community service; an authentic Christian faith lived out through personal discipleship and active involvement in a local church; and support for the university’s vision, mission, and values.

Job Description:

Teaching in Kinesiology or related courses, academic advising, scholarship, and actively participating in campus life are expected. Additional opportunities exist for on and off-campus engagements, such as research and professional development.

A Master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, with additional certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and experience in exercise physiology, assessment and prescription, and strength and conditioning is essential. A doctorate in Exercise or a related field is preferred. A professional certification (ACSM) as an Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) or Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or another health-related certification, is also preferred. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications.
