The Department of Physics and Engineering in the J. D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Engineering to begin August 2024 (or January 2024 could be discussed).

The successful candidate will display evidence of successful classroom teaching, scholarship and/or qualified professional experience; an authentic Christian faith lived out through personal discipleship and active involvement in a local church; support for the university’s vision, mission, and values; and a commitment to our Christian liberal arts tradition. Primary responsibilities will include teaching a wide range of general engineering, engineering mechanics, and mechanical engineering courses as part of a new engineering program seeking ABET accreditation. Additional opportunities exist for on and off campus engagements, such as research or professional development. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications. All qualified candidates will be considered, but preference will be given to those who have a PhD in mechanical engineering or a Professional Engineering license and experience in the field.
