Hannibal-LaGrange University seeks a full-time art department faculty member beginning fall 2021.  This position will be responsible for teaching all levels of art courses. Courses may include, but are not limited to, Art Appreciation, Design, 2-D Design, 3-D Design, Drawing, and Painting.  The successful candidate will possess at least a master’s degree in art; candidates with doctoral degrees are preferred.  Solid candidates with previous experience in higher education are encouraged to apply, but individuals with professional experience in a variety of art mediums may be considered.  Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In addition to teaching, faculty members at Hannibal-LaGrange University advise and mentor students, keep current in their field, participate in service to the University, and perform other duties as assigned by the vice president for academic administration.  Hannibal-LaGrange University values effective teaching and student mentoring and seeks faculty members who vigorously engage the ideas, concepts, and practices of their field from an orthodox, evangelical perspective in both their teaching and scholarship.  Hannibal-LaGrange University is proud to be affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention and faculty must be professing Christians, actively involved in the church of their choice, and have values consistent with Baptist tradition.
