Position Summary:
As a member of the University Advancement team, the director will work closely with all
Advancement staff by providing data needed for the successful implementation of fundraising
strategies, gift processing, stewardship support, data entry and database maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Enter, receipt, and acknowledge all gifts
 Daily delivery/pickup of mail at campus post office and other campus errands
 Maintain a presence in the front office, including guest reception and answering phones
 Produce regular internal and external reports including but not limited to:
o Fundraising and analytical reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annually)
o Provide data for 990 and University Advancement assessment
 Maintain database of constituent information
o Import new graduates and other constituents on a regular basis
o Update constituent information from a variety of data sources
o Perform regular data and list-cleaning processes
 Work collaboratively on endowment reconciliation and reporting
 Work collaboratively on prospect/donor engagement system
 Social media
 Support setup and execution of donor events, including the Christmas on the Hill
President’s Gala, the Little Black Dress Tea, Homecoming, and SUForward Day (some
nights and weekends required for events)
 Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:
 Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of database and/or CRM experience
 Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
 Strong computer skills, accuracy, and knowledge of database research and maintenance
(Raiser’s Edge experience a plus)
 Detail oriented with superior organization and planning skills, coupled with the ability to
handle multiple assignments under minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines
 Adhere to ethical guidelines and always safeguard the confidentiality of donor and/or
prospect information
 Must be a committed Christian who can support the mission of the University
