Job Summary: This position is responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of graduate programs in the McAfee School of Business, and serves as the internal and external face of graduate business programs. This includes working with the dean, faculty, and staff to improve the quality and consistency of graduate program offerings in the McAfee School of Business. Current graduate business programs include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Accountancy (MAcc), and certificate programs.
Essential Job Duties:
- Work with the Director for Marketing in the McAfee School of Business and University Communications to develop marketing plans for graduate business programs.
- In coordination with the Coordinator for Recruiting, prospecting and recruitment of graduate business students. This includes but is not limited to conducting on-site visits to central and west Tennessee businesses, planning webinar based orientation and recruitment, hosting regional recruiting receptions, as well as attending events that benefit student recruitment cycle, such as career fairs, college graduate fairs, and selected community events.
- Manage the inquiry, application, admission, and enrollment of graduate business students. This includes coordinating with the university Office of Student Financial Planning.
- Oversee and direct the advising of graduate business students.
- Manage the graduation related events and coordinate alumni relations for graduate business programs.
- Work with the dean and faculty to make recommendations to develop and redesign programs which meet community needs and align with the university and school mission.
- Work with faculty of the McAfee School of Business to develop course schedules.
- Manage all reporting and rankings processes for the McAfee School of Business graduate programs.
- Assist in the development of budgets for graduate business programs. Oversee the budgets related to graduate business programs.
- Coordinate the hiring and payment of adjuncts and faculty overloads.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an earned bachelor’s degree with significant graduate business course work completed, MBA, or related degree strongly preferred. Must have a knowledge of marketing, recruitment processes (ideally in a university setting), regional businesses, Union University core values, and the benefits of graduate business education.
