Assistant Professor Tenure-Track in Interior Design

The Baylor University Department of Human Sciences and Design invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant level in Interior Design. The successful candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to scholarship and teaching and demonstrate an active Christian faith. The anticipated date of appointment is August 2023.

Responsibilities for the individual who holds this position include establishing and maintaining a program of research and/or creative scholarship; seeking funds to support scholarship; teaching undergraduate courses in interior design; mentoring students; and engaging in professional, community, and university service.

Candidates for the position must have earned a terminal degree in Interior Design, or a related field, by the time of their appointment. Candidates must have a defined research agenda or creative scholarship focus and demonstrated evidence of, or potential for, successful undergraduate teaching. The following are desirable qualifications for the position: peer-reviewed publications and grant funding experience.
