Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science to begin August,1 2023. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.

Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in computer science and a new program in Computer Engineering. Maintain an active research program. Advise students and supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects. Participate on university committees as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Evidence of excellent teaching and research potential. Preference given to candidates with specialization in data science or cyber security, but all specialty areas considered.
