The Baptist College of Florida is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of English for Fall 2023 or Spring 2024. The college seeks a passionate follower of Jesus to teach English composition and English literature and to be a part of a team dedicated to educating and mentoring students for various roles in Kingdom work.
Established in 1943, the college is owned and operated by the Florida Baptist Convention and has a mission to educate Christian leaders. The institution offers approximately twenty undergraduate majors and three graduate majors. For more information, see www.baptistcollege.edu.
Responsibilities include teaching English composition and English literature, student advising, assisting with the college’s Writing Center, serving on faculty committees, and contributing to the educational and spiritual development of the college family and community.
Qualifications include an earned doctorate in the field or willingness to pursue an earned doctorate. Previous college teaching experience is preferred but not required.
The Baptist College of Florida is located in Graceville, Florida, in the Panhandle of Florida, just south of Dothan, Alabama, and about one hour drive from ocean beaches.
