Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Chemistry to begin August 1, 2023. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry or be nearing completion of it. Specialization in the area of inorganic or computational chemistry is desirable.

Responsibilities:

Teach 24 semester hours (lecture and lab) per academic year; contribute to an active and challenging undergraduate research program in field of expertise; attend and participate in departmental and university functions and serve on committees as required; prior teaching experience is preferred.
